I read an article that involved the coach of the Broncos saying he was contemplating retirement... which was surprising... I think there's a place for him as QB3 somehwere... where he can still get paid more than any of us make in a year.

It sounded like he had a few potential opportunities other places this year and maybe he just wasn't happy in those areas. I'm guessing he took a team friendly deal to come home and settle down here with his family. Hopefully he gets to stick on the Bengals roster a few years and maybe move into helping out the Bearcats in some capacity afterwards. Even if it's practice squad they make really good $$$

No disrespect, just not sure how long you can play when teams continue to move on from you.Last edited by GoBearcats31; 07-20-2025, 08:32 PM.

Here are my thoughts on this. He is a competitor. He does his homework. He studies game films. He is athletic. He is a team player. Has enough experience in the league with several teams that he can do the scouting. He can help a team without playing. Keep in mind that his stats were not all that bad with Atlanta when Atlanta was a bad team all around. He does throw too many interceptions in the NFL. In all counts, he is a good man and I wish him the best in whatever he does.

Desmond Ridder on the Cincinnati homecoming: “There were a lot of emotions coming back. The place that brought me here, driving down I-71 just opening up down that hill, and seeing (downtown) where you're gonna be at, hopefully this year and obviously years to come. It was a great, great feeling.”Last edited by GoBearcats31; 07-23-2025, 12:54 PM.
