Time now to reconfigure his life. Stay away from the gamblers, get back in school and earn his degree, and work out to stay in shape. How badly does he wan’t to change his life?

has anyone seen how much NIL he's gotten? did TTU pay any upfront, for signing? does he need to pay it back (like he's supposed to reimburse uc), with his legal fees, this young man may be up the proverbial creek.

This is the defining point in this young man's life that happens to a lot of us who have a few years under our belts. Time will reveal if he's learned anything from his bad decisions or if he is the stereotypical pampered jock who feels that he's owed something. I do not enjoy seeing him or any young person get rejected as he has but sooner or later one has to learn that consequences come with our choices. For his sake I hope he comes out a better citizen.

              • Mr. Sorsby will have to hire a private trainer and get some practice mates to continue growing his skills.

                • By missing competitive football his skills will deteriorate. Someone may take a chance on him in NFL , he will not last long.

                      • If CSS played BS knowing that he was involved then he needs to be terminated now. If BS's play was an indication of him placing bets for UC to lose which in hindsight may very well be the case then BS needs to be banned forever from competitive sports. And if CSS couldn't recognize the deterioration of BS's play last year when improvement should have been obvious, and it turns out that games were thrown, then he needs to never coach in college football again..

                          • I'm going to double post this in two threads. This isn't an exact quote but something that Satterfield mentioned today was that Texas Tech or some representative of Texas Tech or Sorsby tampered with Sorsby with 4 games left in the season last year. If that's true Texas Tech might owe the conference or NCAA some money

                              • It is difficult to accept the idea that UC had no knowledge of Sorcby’s gambling activity. If this issue was brought to the attention of the athletic director or the UC president and they still allowed him to play, then accountability is needed at the highest levels.

UC’s own response — stating that Sorcby and other players were being “counseled” — strongly suggests they were aware of concerning behavior. If they believed he wasn’t betting on UC games and chose to let him continue competing with only counseling, that is a serious lapse in judgment.

UC owes the community a full, transparent explanation of what they knew, when they knew it, and why they allowed him to remain on the field. Anything less is unacceptable.
