My opinnion is if he bet on college football he should be permanently suspended from playing. If he needs help, by all means provide help for him. But he should not play again in college.

If Brendan Sorsby truly is a gambling addict (which seems likely), then he needs serious help. That still wouldn't absolve him of the consequences. A drunk who kills a pedestrian can't claim that his drunkenness, not his own actions, ultimately led to the accident. Sorsby didn't kill anyone, but the principle is the same.Comment
