Yikes - suffered a season-ending right knee injury on December 3, 2022. Then suffered a season-ending injury to the same knee on December 2, 2023.

Apparently was dating Angel Reese of LSU but broke up in March -- in case this is the content you were looking for in the transfer portal megathread!

Achor does everything well. He can score efficiently inside and out at high usage and he gets to the free throw line. He's a great rebounder and shot blocker. And against top 100 competition his BPM was actually a bit higher at 7.3. He put up 23 points and 7 rebounds against Kansas in the tourney.

      I'm all in on Achor.
Here's a write-up on Achor (you really have to scroll down)

      • From Jonathan Givony (Draft Express) yesterday --

Campbell transfer Anthony Dell'Orso, one of the best available wings in the portal, has committed to Arizona, he told ESPN. The 6'6 sophomore Australian averaged 20.2 points, shooting 39% for 3 this season. Testing the NBA Draft waters and will continue to gather feedback.

Yeah. I like this guy too. Samford went 29-6 on the season and Achor was one of their best players. He hit for 16.1 points / game, which led the team, he pulled down 6.1 rebounds / game (which led the team), he shot 58.6% overall, and shot 43.5% from the three-point line. Also, he shot 5 free-throws / game where he shot 71.2%. He likewise had about 1.78 blocked shots / game (which led the team) and had 27 steals on the season (would be 4th on UC's team). He is listed as 6'9" 227. Not bad size for a PF that can step outside and shoot the three. Achor did NOT attempt many threes last season (about 1.8 / game). My guess is if UC is able to pull Achor in, he will get the first crack at that 4 spot. Based on what I have read on this guy, he appears to be the kind of big that Miller is looking for. Achor would be a very nice addition to the program. I hope UC can pull this guy in.

I wonder how the team would function if Achor and Aziz (at the 5) were in the lineup together along with Skillings on the glass. Wow, that would be an amazing rebounding team.

            But, is there mutual interest?

            • Apparently we've had contact with Jaykwon Walton's agent (really?).

Hard pass. Dude caught a gun and pot charge and has been committed to at about 6 schools at some point in his career.

              • UCF with a nice add in Jordan Ivy-Curry from UTSA -- averaged 17.1 points, 5.2 rebounds, 3.0 assists this year. Should have one year left.

Triple A averaged 4.0 points, 2.9 rebounds and 0.5 block per game in 11 minutes per game this year. He played in 11 Big 12 games, averaging 2.3 and 1.2 in 7.0 minutes (his best outing was 6 and 3 in 10 mins at Kansas State). His three year averages are 3.6 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.8 blocks, 58.5% from FT (but only 11/24 this past season) in 12.2 minutes per game over 88 games.

                    • One time 2023 target George Washington III (Michigan) is transferring to Richmond.

Good to see George Washington find a home in Virginia.

                        • Former Cincinnati high school standout Paul McMillan IV will be making his third stop in as many years after he committed to Canisius College earlier this afternoon.

The 6'2 guard averaged 8.3 ppg at Central Michigan last season and 5.8 ppg at NJIT as a true freshman.

Canisius was 14-18 last season and finished 9th in the 11-team MAAC. They last made the NCAA tournament in 1996 under John Beilein.

That's a fun tidbit. I didn't know Beilein started there.
