Hard pass if true. If a player wants PT guaranteed and does not want to earn it, best wishes and no thank you.

      Chaz as a freshman - 1.7 ppg
      Chaz as a sophomore - 4.5 ppg
      Chaz as a junior - 4.7 ppg
      Chaz as a senior - 19.7 ppg!

Quite the improvement from last year to this past year. He shot 44% from three on high volume (241 attempts - for reference, Simas shot 234 and hit 38.5%) and 88% on 108 FT attempts. He also averaged. 4.8 rebounds this season.

Scored in double figures in 31 of 32 games ... Had 7 versus LSU, 16 versus Iowa, 22 versus FSU, 16 versus Georgia, 12 versus Miami. Seems like a baller.

Still thinks UC needs a big, but I'm intrigued.

      • I'd take Chaz in a heartbeat if there is mutual interest. He can create his own shot with very high efficiency. A third of his threes were unassisted, and he gets to the rim 4 times per game with 3 of them unassisted. Doing all that on your own and converting 63% effective field goals is very impressive. He's a negative defender, but we have been missing a true scorer on the wing since Nolley left. Chaz was the best player on his team by a mile.

a large NIL check doesn't hurt either.

I'm going to view this as "i don't think i can beat out arrinten and aziz for playing time, so off to osu". I'm not saying it's true, just that it makes me feel better. Also, it means i still don't have to root for anything associated with Duke, which definitely makes me feel better.

Again He was a major priority for tOSU new coach, and he had a large NIL war chest. Yes, it helped that there is a starter's role available at tOSU, but this is 2024 and let us not forget the new priority. Big bucks paid to become a buck/.

Yeah, I don't think playing time is really the issue. Aziz only plays around 25 minutes, and Page showed last year that he's a project. We can easily offer 40 minutes to a good big at the 4/5, including a starting spot at the 4.

We can offer a lot of playing time to just about anyone since we have a lot of players with positional flexibility. We should go after the best player available.

I assume we aren't close on anyone. Might be best to keep the scholly.

                          • I believe it would be best to fill the final position this year, rather than pocketing the scholarship. First, injuries happen. Second, the following season's roster already will include several openings: Aziz, Simas, CJ, Skillings (probably), Day Day. That's five already. If the final slot isn't filled with a multi-year player, the staff will be forced to replace nearly half of the roster.

                            • I am sure CWM has had many meetings with Cincy reigns. They are doing their best, but some schools have a very large booster association. In 2024, it is hard to compete for the big name transfers. This where the coaching staff have to prove their value for the Cats to win. That being, see the potential in recruits, coach them up and do a good job of in game coaching. In other words , back to the future.
