I have a better feeling about playing Kansas, looking forward to tomorrow.

Feels good to be on the right side of a three point barrage for once. We played terrible on both sides of the ball in this game. Offensively, we only got to the rim 17 times and barely converted 50%. We were under 50% inside the arc, so we had to cosplay as BYU putting up more threes than twos. And we relied on our worst shooter going 7 of 10 from deep, matching the number of threes he had made in the previous 10 games combined. This was not a good gameplan, but I'm glad it worked out to the tune of 1.32 points per possession.
Defensively, we gave up 1.25 points per possession, matching the Dayton game for our worst performance of the entire season. WVU went 15 of 19 at the rim and 10 of 22 from deep, amounting to an insane 64% effective field goals. The Kriisa/Edwards PnR was working all game, as Kriisa had 7 assists and Edwards converted 7 of 8 shots.
Player of the game was Simas, posting an incredible 11.9 net points and 20.8 box plus minus. That indicates a 0.2 point per possession margin by himself. He scored 23 points from the field on only 13 shots, plus 8 for 8 from the line, 4 assists, 2 rebounds, a steal, and no fouls in 37 minutes. Day Day was of course second with 5.7 net points and 11.6 box plus minus. Jamille was the only other player with positive statistical impact.
It's tournament time. Crazy things happen. Survive and advance.
