a lot of pressure to perform in a tourney. Regardless of who you play, there is more pressure. A different arena, fans from other teams and the realization of sudden elimination -- This is it folks if we lose. Some, like SL thrive at that atmosphere, others not so much. It is day two now and time to play. These games are when it would be really helpful to have CJ.

What's up with your streaming? Is it bandwidth, fiberoptic speed? I had no issues with the feed Tuesday. I watched the first half upstairs while finishing some work and the second half in the basement while riding my bike trainer. I think I saw one hiccup on a Day-Day 2 pointer quarter to mid-way thru the first half and a smooth feed rest of the game
Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

      Intimidate! Dominate! Celebrate!

      • Here's the box score from the game in Lawrence. Tough night for Simas. The Cats annihilated the Jayhawks on the glass, but Vik contributed to that.

I have an idea that's it just crappy network traffic issues in this area. I'm usually too busy trying to keep track of the game to troubleshoot it properly and sometimes it's fine, sometimes terrible. Should not be bandwidth. I have 1GB service and Wifi6 with a 4K LG TV doing the streaming. It's Spectrum internet and I'm stuck with it right now. Wish I could go back to Fiber I had previously. It seems to be specific to ESPN+ whtever it is and I'm not the only person having the issue but no one can find a common denominator.

It's really weird when it glitches because the game is not linear. I'll see like 2 or 3 segments of play repeat themselves and then it jumps ahead tries to catch up and I've missed the next scoring play. Yesterday it was just flat out buffering a few times in the middle of the first half. @TCU was unwatchable and yesterday was close to it. I may go back to an Apple TV box and see if that helps it at all. Probably has more memory than the TV itself.

I keep telling myself to be glad it's not artifact trash from the Tulane game from last year.

Everyone makes a big deal about Kansas down two men. Well, the Bearcats are short two starters from the start of the season (Vic and CJ).

Every player on Kansas was a star in HS and a very high/elite recruit/transfer. You plan for injuries and play with who is healthy.I am glad that tCWM planned with the bigs

Adams, Furphy, Harris and Jackson are all former 4-star recruits. Timberlake was one of the top available shooters in the portal this past spring but has not panned out - which means he is due, right?
It'll be interesting to see how often Kansas goes with a smaller line-up like this and what we do to counteract it. They'll inevitably want to push the pace of the game. We should do our best to slow it down.

We should hopefully destroy them on the boards.

I only have 50mbs of internet speed and I can run 2 UHD TVs on it perfectly. My TVs are both LG OLEDs and I can also stream perfectly on my NVidia Shield. I am referring to ESPN+. My ISP is ATT (Uverse) so I suspect your internet provider is the problem.

Last word on streaming, we have the higher mbps rate (500 or 600) because my son is into gaming, so the speed of your data may be the only issue if the stream is coming in faster than you can receive it. Overall, we've been happy with the Hulu/Disney/ESPN bundle, Max, and Amazon Prime. I don't feel like we are missing any sports that I care to watch. If only I could get Le Tour without Peacock.

                      • I hope that UC does not make the mistake of thinking that because Kansas has two key people out that it has a type of advantage. Kansas is a very good shooting team. The way UC played defense yesterday, a very good high school team could have score 70 points on them. Also, this game is in Kansas City. You might as well call this a HOME GAME for Kansas because the blue and white (or whatever its colors) will dominate the stands tonight. Lastly, Bill Self is a HALL-OF-FAME coach. He is not one of the best coaches in the history of college basketball for no reason. We all know that it does not take much to outcoach Miller.

I hope that UC did not spend a lot of energy celebrating the WV win. They will need all of the energy that they can muster tonight. Go get them Cincinnati.

I have spectrum also. I have the My spectrum app and have tested by speed/ bandwidth several times and the problem persists. Someone suggested it was my TV as I usually watch the game downstairs on a Vizio 42". Yesterday I was able to see it on my LG 65" and at the start of the game the problems began. I've gotten into the habit of stopping the feed altogether and resuming play after a minute. This has worked a couple times downstairs and it did work yesterday on the LG. I do not stream "plus" through spectrum so I suspect much of it is ESPN's "service" as I have no problems with other streaming services.

I would like to believe that UC hanging tough with Kansas but getting the L back in January would have them locked in.

Also, Kansas State plays the game before. I am not sure of the KSU/KU dynamic, but I would imagine that UC might have some purple-clad fans on its side in the night cap.

                            • Bloodbath ongoing in KC: 14:04 - BYU 21, UCF 3. The Cougars hit 4 of their first 5 treys. Dawkins had to blow 2 TOs to try to stop the onslaught.

This is a four guard lineup. Furphy is tall, but he is a guard (like DerMarr). So Adams plays the 5 in this lineup, but he does not have the size, rim protection, or rebounding ability of a typical 5. Small ball centers can pose matchup problems, but since Adams doesn't step out to shoot the three, it won't be a liability for us to have one of our bigs out there on him. I'd be surprised if they went with this lineup most of the game. I have a feeling we'll see at least 20 minutes of 6'10" 5th year transfer Parker Braun, who is a decent rim protector and can finish around the basket. The problem for Kansas is that Braun and Adams are their only frontcourt players. They have no depth with Dickinson out unless they give the walk on some minutes.

We cannot turn the ball over in this game. It's imperative to get shots up on the rim and give Aziz/Jamille a chance to grab the rebound. They should have a huge advantage on the glass.
