  • Flory is in the portal to head to IU where he will reunite with Drew Adams more than likely. This is really obvious

Not sure why he would want to leave a good team. Maybe he is looking for a bigger payday.

I personally wouldn't leave St.Johns as you said... Good team, playing in the Big East.. Unless not seeing eye to eye with Pitino.

                • We've contacted Tyeree Bryan, a 6'5 wing from Santa Clara. Bryan is the best player we've connected with so far. He put up a 5.9 BPM this year thanks to 43% shooting from deep, a solid 7% OReb rate for a wing, and a turnover rate under 10%. He's a low usage offensive player, but the metrics indicate he's a great glue guy.

                  • First real “news” from Joe Tipton of On3

“UCF transfer guard Jaylin Sellers is down to four schools, source tells @On3sports:

                    Cincinnati, Georgetown, Illinois, Providence

The 6-4 senior appeared in only three games this season due to injury but averaged 15.9 PPG with UCF last season.”

Sellers had a 4.1 BPM in 2024, roughly matching what Day Day and Reed put up for us this year. He's a three level scorer who gets to the FT line a lot and converts 83%. He shot 152 free throws - more than twice as many as anyone on our team.

Per Trilly Donovan, Bryan is down to the Zags & Bearcats.

Why would he want to leave? Dickerson is leaving. Fiory would have the starting 5 position all to himself on a consistently top 15 team. What is he unhappy about?

Maybe the NCAA opened up a can of worms that it is not really capable of managing with the portal system. I have no problems with names, images, and likeness (NIL) for college kids to make a little money. But the amount money that is being thrown around is insane. Also, NIL money is not intended to be pay for play. NIL money is all about college kids doing commercials, appearing in magazines, or having their name associated with some product.

However, it appears that college sports have indeed evolved into pay for play. With the portal system, NIL, and pay for play, college basketball rosters will gravitate towards instability from one year to next. Here is the bad part. The NCAA does not appear to be doing anything about it.

I knew you would like this guy. I like him too. A big wing that can produce. Imagine Mitchell, Sellers, Reed, Thomas, and a pretty good five playing together.
