Peacock now? At least those are home games so I won’t need to subscribe.

This article predicts that UC will make the NCAA based solely on their defense (and strength of schedule).

Look, I'm as optimistic as any other Bearcats fan-but let's be accurate-the article is based on defensive statistics that 3/4 of the players accumulated on other teams/with other teammates and under different schemes. I love stats and advanced metrics-but the context that that they come from matters. We cannot say we know how the defense will be UNTIL THE PLAYERS ACTUALLY PLAY TOGETHER. We have already seen that individual promise and talent won't necessarily win if there are issues with leadership and team dynamics. All we can say is that we should have the pieces to put together an elite defense, if they are meshed together appropriately.Originally posted by bearcatbret View PostThis article predicts that UC will make the NCAA based solely on their defense (and strength of schedule).

Not that these games matter but xavier lost to Murry State at home 75-70. Murray State holds off Xavier 75-70 in first exhibition game | Sports | WPSD Local 6

That's most likely the reason. With the Bengals having played late into Thursday night, the basketball exhibition in Ann Arbor on Friday evening at 6:00, and the football team in Stillwater Saturday evening, the travel schedule may have been too difficult to arrange for Dan Hoard. By contrast, Norwood Tech-Evanston Campus played at home—having beaten Toledo in football at their home stadium, Cochran Field (now Corcoran), 35-31—in 1973.Originally posted by GoBearcats31 View Post
Probably because UC has football (and an overlap in broadcast team) and XU does not

It might just be that it was a home game for xavier and they may hold the broadcasting rights. Whereas the UC game was in Ann Arbor and the B1G 10 may own the broadcast rights.Originally posted by longtimefan View PostWhich reminds me. Why are Xavier exhibition games on the radio, but not UC exhibition games?

In case anyone is wondering, Xavier is 7th in the preseason Big East poll out of 11 teamsLast edited by GoBearcats31; 10-21-2025, 10:30 AM.
