Boren and Gee have been the proponents of Uc from all accounts. I got news they're competing against each other regardless of what conference they are in. However, it's pretty bizarre to think that a school(wv) who sorely needs a northern division to even exist in that conference long term doesn't want teams close to it. Think about it. The dud, you have to love him. Yes, we will get in a conference with 13 teams 1k miles away from us or more as we will then have no recruiting competition and only are fans with jets can go to road games. Yes, this is the plan. OK BEVIS.

The guy has lost all sense of reality a long time ago. The other expansion mavens may not be legit either but the Dude is off the rails at this point because his empire is about to crumble.
In other news a random account on Twitter that claims to the the former head of Big 12 social media is saying that this is a done deal with UC and BYU as 11 and 12 in 2017 and Houston and Memphis as 13 and 14 in 2018. I have noooo idea whether this is credible or not but thought I'd pass it along for discussion. Seems like it works out pretty well for all parties.Brent Wyrick

It may work out well for us and the other three schools you listed. However, I do not believe that the other 10 or so hopefuls feel that it works out well. lol. I certainly hope that you are right.Comment

I got the same info this weekend. from a very strong connection here locally re: uc and byu. Uc would start 2017, but byu still undetermined. However, it sounds as if the 4 is still likely, but 2 n 17 and 2 in 18.The guy has lost all sense of reality a long time ago. Is scheduling the reason to add two at a time?Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

He was not totally sure, but i seem to recall when Boren or one of the b12 folks were talking about their tv contact that there was a stair step addition situation. However, if you think about it, byu has no conference affiliation so all their games are individual deals, including us. That' can't be easy to deal with. I find it hard to believe with this aac preseason session this week that the detail of this would not get out which i would say both conferences are aware of. Hence, Areso's comments last week. Keep your fingers crossed and say your prayers.Last edited by coach; 07-31-2016, 09:06 PM.Comment

Are you referring to AAC media days? Is that the AAC deal to which you refer?Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.

It could be if Houston is involved as unlike Uc who rec'd the buyout from the Big East they did not get anything like that. However, it might be tv related as well.Comment
