Solid hire and I wish him well...but I think USF and Liberty made "bigger splashes"

Will be very interesting to see where where USF and Liberty are in a few years versus Bearcat program...I know it is not apples to apples comparison but it will be interesting nonetheless

There was a lot of sizzle with Tuberville.

I didn't like his answer about not really looking at or knowing the roster. How can you take a job without knowing the roster?

Does anyone think this hire is akin to Mizzou hiring Eliah Drinkwitz a few years ago???

Anxious to see the staff assembled and player retention. Comittments and portal activity gonna be a cluster.
Time will tell on this hire, but one thing we know for sure is we spent $3.5M more than other options for the priviledge of finding out.

So who is left to coach the Bowl game?

                    B.C.
We're good at rough. It's a UC tradition.

Wisconsin paid Fickell’s buyout for the same amount. It’s a wash there.

We had 3.5M in our pocket and an internal hire would have cost us nothing

An internal hire who wasn’t ready for the job.

Well there's that...but living in SEC country, I have observed all the teams for a while. Missouri has a good game every now and then and they look like an offensive juggernaut, then they get blown out 3 games in a row, then they have a good road win or play a higher ranked opponent tough, then get blown out in consecutive games, end up right around five hundred, teasing fans that they have turned the corner and will compete for an east division title (like they did when they first joined the SEC) but it never materializes.

I could easily see UC program treading water, trying to stay at .500 or just above and longing for the good 'ol days of BK and CLF. Look at how many years Tennessee (with all their resources) 'wandered in the desert' with a revolving door of coaches until Heupel and Golesh came along.
