The Cats are in deep trouble. TTU 8-1, bottom of 5th. It had to be a bullpen day and it didn't go well. 3 runs in the 1st & 5 more in the 2nd.

Alex Jones hit two 2-run homers, but they weren't enough. Red Raiders advanced, 10-5.

the team made strides this year - i really like coach bishel - i almost see parallels to when brian kelly came here - it was, wow, this could be interesting, and fun to watch, going into a new league, etc. here's to hoping that the baseball team can take off in a similar fashion. i'd love to see it

They do. They were on the bubble in the Baseball RPI the last I looked. The team will have to sweat it out.

Unfortunately, I think the Cats will fall just short. They fell to #61 in the RPI after the loss to TTU, after sitting at #52 earlier in the week.

The Bearcats were left out. 6 B12 teams: OK, OSU, TX, UCF, KSU @ WV.

Rocco Miller on Twitter noticed that the last four teams into the tournament all had ADs on the selection committee. KSU is one of those. Coastal Carolina, an early UC opponent. turned out to be another one.
