Turnovers are killing him. Wondering exactly what the problem is. I don't remember him having this issue in his last two years.

He was never going to be an elite NFL QB. He's more of a game manager type that can create some plays with his legs on occasion. I thought he would have done well with the Saints and wish they picked him up. Regardless, he should be set for life if he is smart with his money as a QB2. Wish him the best.

Desmond reminds me of Trent Dilfer in that he's really not a QB1 and will knock around the league as game manager QB2 on a good team until QB1 has an injury and Des leads the team to a Super Bowl win.

Ridder has competition. The Falcons just signed Kirk Cousins.

Update: Cousins is under contract for $180M. Des is either second string or out and I don't think his rookie contract is done yet.

Albert Breer reporting he's headed to the Arizona Cardinals. Cardinals are sending Rondale Moore to ATL.

Interesting since Ridder got clobbered in the last pre season game and when they put in Tune, he threw a wobbler for an 89 yd pick 6.

Unfortunately for Ridder he is not an elite passer. This will be his life in the NFL. Up and Down. I wonder if he will ever play in the UFL.

I think his agent/team and the NFL will be able to keep him on a roster/practice squad to qualify for the NFL pension at this point, which I believe kicks in after 4 seasons get technical around roster/practice squad/etc. After than though, I'd love to see him back in Clifton on staff. I think he embodies a lot of what Marcus Freeman brought into recruiting/leadership/role model during his early years in coaching before rounding out the X's and O's.

It would be wild to see him eventually wind up with the Bengals since Zac Taylor was his original recruiter in college. Zac never coached him at any point though.
