Is he one that we were really pursuing and thought he was almost convinced to come here towards the end of Brannen's term and He abruptly changed his mind?

Watched the end...announcers referenced the Nevada comeback. One of the nails in the coffin for Mick. Not totally sold on Wes but don't miss the south pole elf.

Jon Rothstein reporting that the Big Ten--which will have 18 teams next season--will invite only 15 to the Big Ten Tournament beginning in 2025.

For a few years, the Big East only invited 12 of 16 and UC got left out in 2007 which stunk (then in 2009, once they allowed all teams, UC lost to #16 DePaul in the 9/16 game...)

I could only watch bits of the first half, but the Ucons were having a fast-break dunk party during that time. I guess the boys from Norwood were expecting to be blown out because they show up disguised as Marquette; they wore an odd color of blue with yellow lettering and trim.

I didn't watch the X game but I was following box score during the game. With 5:00 left in the 1st half, Xavier was shooting 13% from the field and one guy had 7 of their 9 points. I think they finished the game around 29%

X dropped from 40 to 53 in the NET. They were looking pretty good metrics-wise a week ago despite a 10-8 record, but having lost at Creighton and getting blasted at UConn, not so great right now.

Michigan is currently 7-14 (2-8). They have dropped 9 of their last 10, with the lone W coming against ... Ohio State

                            Ohio State is 13-8 (3-7) after starting 12-2 (2-1).

I suppose these could also fit in the Coaching Carousel thread, particularly as to OSU. But I guess we'll post more tangible news/less speculation over there.

Memphis was ranked No. 10 in the AP poll two weeks ago. They are currently on a 4-game losing streak (USF, Tulane, UAB, Rice) and not looking so hot for March -- they beat several high major teams in the non-conference, though several (Michigan, Arkansas, arguably Virginia) not so impressive anymore.

And UTSA took them to overtime a couple games before their skid. Their defense has been awful over the last 6 games. I can't imagine losing Caleb Mills is wholly responsible for that.
