For anyone having this issue, follow previous advice on here and pause the broadcast. Rewind a few minutes of game time and hit play again. It'll fine be unless it catches up with the live broadcast again. I have the feeling there's not enough memory in these LG TVs to handle 4K live streaming for motion sports.

I'm pretty sure ESPN only streams at 720p. No way it's 4K. But I doubt storage has much to do with it because the app on my Sony TV streams better than my laptop. I think it just has to do with how the software handles live streaming and what happens when it encounters a gap in the data.

I tried that, pausing doesn’t help. My 2023 LG TV does fine on Apple TV 4K Dolby Vision, and every other app. The only app with problems is ESPN. And like I said, today it’s been perfect.
