Collins had a 0.1 BPM. Doesn't really stand out in any areas. He's a poor shooter who takes care of the ball and doesn't foul. The most statistically vanilla player I've seen us connect with.

I know that this may not be the proper place to talk about recruits, but since we are talking about portal players and players that may come into the program, what the heck let's talk about it. I saw Shon Abaev in the McDonalds All American Game tonight. I came in late in the 3rd quarter. Abaev had a bad couple of minutes. He was taken out of the game after two consecutive ball handling turnovers (the ball was taken from him twice) and he also let two guys drive the ball right by him to the rim.
I know that you cannot read too much into a few bad moments. However, after watching him handle the ball and play defense, I do not think he is going to come in and take over. On the other hand, you never know about these things. But from what I saw of him, depending on who is still left on the roster, he is not going to move out Mitchell, Reed, or Skillings. He appears to be a point forward. He brings the ball up the floor. The problem is he is not good at protecting the ball once he is pressured a little. It will be interesting to see how Miller uses him.

Not many of the guys were playing any D. This is an offensive showcase event. I did note, though, that Abaev, who is quite slight of build compared to the others on the floor, did not contest rebounds. He's not a complete package at this point. He's a talented incoming freshman.
