Why would we do that... I don't understand the UCONN thing... Basketball only with zaga maybe but football is a dumpster fire. Hope we get one of the other PAC12 teams... Preferably Utah

Additional thought based on the FOX Big 12 TV deal. There’s a clause in the contract that FOX will pay equal share to new schools that join from P5 conferences. That would seem to pull the rug out from under UConn unless the other 13 schools want to take a financial hit to their shares.

Based on numerous things I’ve seen in the last 24 hours, UConn is definitely in play here. I’m not quite sure why but they seem to have the most smoke right now.

I would expect UW to head to the B1G. Where the rest of the schools end up will be interesting. Does the PAC collapse or do the remnants merge with the MWC ?

Utah is out here playing the role of UC during the Big East break up. The Pres and AD are determined to stay on the sinking ship as recently as last month.

So who is team #2?? Hopefully not UCONN, Oregon seems in bed with Big10... Washington would be the best get but also doubtful. Will be cool to see Deion back in Cincy and in Nippert

    Thamel:
Sources: The Big 12’s presidents and chancellors voted unanimously Wednesday night on a conference call to accept Colorado as a new member. Colorado still has not formally applied for Big 12 membership, which is expected to happen tomorrow. But tonight’s Big 12 vote marks another necessary step toward Colorado joining the Big 12. Colorado's Board of Regents is expected to vote on the move from the Pac-12 to the Big 12 on Thursday, which is another step toward finalizing the move.

Wouldn't it be nice if it were Washington? The Seattle Times is reporting on Colorado. Does this mean that Washington has interest? All eyes on Colorado as university regents meet to discuss Big 12 move | The Seattle Times

This says that Colorado IS MOVING to the Big 12. I really do not believe it but the drama within the PAC 12 continues to entertain many of us. Colorado to rejoin Big 12 Conference, per sources - Sports Illustrated Colorado Buffaloes News, Analysis and More

This is probably executive speak but SN is saying no expansion for the B1G because they’re still ironing out schedule logistics for USC and UCLA.

Brutus and the Oregon Duck have their arms around each other with the caption stating BIG things coming. Does this mean that they are going to schedule each other? Or does this mean that Oregon may be changing conferences? Time will tell.

True - but I don't think they will contract that much, and still count on beating the other 14-17 teams. I don't think this would happen until after the ACC is raided, which isn't likely to be anytime soon with their GoR. I don't think it will wait until 2036, but probably very close to there we will see formal announcements teams will not extend with the ACC beyond their current agreement. When contraction comes, it will only be at most 2 schools in Big and 2 in the SEC, with max 20 teams per conference. Who knows, this is only one wild guess
