Jesus Christ there is zero pleasing anyone in this fanbase is there? They better not get a MAC coach, need to steal someone from a P5 school, need a big name. This was a terrible year to have to hire a coach. Who the **** do you think UC would get, Nick Saban? Get a grip. Not a single dollar from the Big12 has rolled in so the bank is sti at the AAC level. Nearly all of you wouldn't have given Bob Hughins a single look or hired him. Pathetic. Do you really want an unproven position coach leading this program? A HC who couldn't cut it as a position coach at OSU?

The coaching search is quiet for a reason and not for the fan base until someone is hired. People saying the search was botched are complete idiots because they knew nothing of the search or names interviewed. You have no idea who was part of the search unless the name came from JC himself. Even the best source, Chad Brendel said yesterday he had no idea of the names in the search.

We just got a P5 coach out of Lville that exceeded expectations this year and has a stellar recruiting class next year. He put App State on the map and moved to a P5 ACC school where he did well. Our players are tweeting of their approval and that's all that matters.

Per Justin Williams, Satterfield has a highly rated recruiting class at Louisville (higher than ours). Maybe we get some benefit from that.

This one is sort of a choose your own adventure. The athletic department at Louisville has its own issues. It does feel a little bit like Satterfield beat the mob out of town. But he was good at App State. Talking points for both sides on this one, but it could work.

It's a hire that let the wind out of the sails of what could have been. At least with a young up and comer, you have hope, excitement, and the possibility of growth. This guy, you know what you're getting. Steady, but not great. 9 out of 10 high school players don't know who Satterfield is.

The Cardinals currently have the 19th rated 2023 recruiting class in the country according to 247Sports, including five-star, top-ranked running back Rueben Owens out of Texas. Louisville has made strides in the NIL landscape under Satterfield, including recruiting the state of California, during the past year.

The BigXII has the potential to be a better conference than the ACC. Hopefully, those recruits follow him to UC.

2023 class for Louisville is ranked 19th and UC is 48th... Satterfields best class to date. If it is on an upswing like Satterfield stated then why did he want to leave though? I doubt he was going to be let go by Louisville with how he finished the season. Louisville was ranked just a couple weeks ago. After a bad start it sounds like he changed some things

Wow! 25 wins & 24 losses. WTF! How is this record going to help us going ino the Big 12. The ACC with the exception of a few teams is not a very strong conference.
Very disappointed. Gino should have gotten the job. If he had any measure of success, he would have stayed for a long time.

The Athletic Dept at Loserville is a mess and their facilities are not great. The Papa John's money was misused and they have many lingering scandals. Scott is jumping ship, had success under those bad conditions, and will bring in a top notch offense.

^^^ This. Satterfield is still young, has shown he can recruit at a high level, is comfortable with NIL, and has HC experience. Everything all the JC haters were crying out for. Just no pleasing some people who live a life of negativity.

Not seeing a lot of players tweeting approval. Time will tell. Sorry I hurt your feelings with my initial reaction. Never heard of the guy before today. Pretty unusual with social media, if the guy was lighting it up, no?
