He does and I think Corleone or Vann might also.

        • I just read this. While it is new to me, I am sure many have guessed it.

“It's a mess,” our source said. “Contact points are all over the map. A lot of team aren't even talking to the guys they’re recruiting and high school coaches are basically out of the picture right now. You gotta deal with NIL agents who are taking upwards of 20-percent from kids. So the agents purposely get schools into bidding wars with each other.” -- “Street agents are tampering with players on current rosters,” our source said. “If they can get a guy to transfer, they get a cut. You have players who haven't even entered the portal officially yet and they already know where they are going.” (247 sports)

          • I was wondering what kind of report the players and schools have to do about the reporting of money and NIL deals? I did suspect that there is a whole lot of tampering with active players by others outside of the team.

Case in point QB Max Johnson at A&M declared for the portal, which isn't open yet, and 24 hours later committed to UNC. What's the point of the portal if stuff like this is going to happen?

              • Also, saw an article today that top players at their schools are staying in college longer now than they would have previously because the NIL money is more than they would make on an NFL rookie contract. If you're headed to the pros and don't have 1- 3 round grade, you make more in college. Eventually, this is probably going to reset the rookie contract market in the NFL and owners will be pissed about it.

This may affect basketball more than football. However, either way, it is going to hurt high school players.

Here's UC's numbers. We're way behind the power curve to compete with the big boys.

You’re correct about us playing catchup but I think it’s important to point out that these On3 valuations are potential NIL earnings not actual payouts. There’s absolutely no way they are accurate regardless of what formula they used to predict these valuations.

You’re telling me Donovan Ollie was supposed to be the top NIL guy at UC? He couldn’t even get on the field and transferred out.

                          • New proposed NIL rules from the NCAA. Theoretically designed to keep athletes from getting screwed by Contracts and Agents.

Wow!! The recent Athletic article from Under Armor game indicated recruits talk to three people: position coach, head coach, and the money man. This proposal would negate recruits from high school or portal transfers from knowing their "value" or "money bag offer".

                                Prospects

Finally, the proposal prohibits an NIL entity from engaging in any contact, correspondence or other communication with or providing any benefits to a prospect, potential transfer or any individual associated with them, until the prospect signs a letter of intent, participates in summer activities or practices with the team, or enrolls at the school and attends classes.

Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.
