It was a tight contest throughout ten innings today between UC & UCF. The Knights took a 5-3 lead in the 5th, which UC matched in the 7th. The game went to extra innings at 5-5. In the top of the 10th, the Knights went up on a 2-out hit, 6-5. UC put runners at 2nd & 3rd with one out. UCF walked Kerrington Cross to load the based, then struck out Loudon Brooks. Landon Vidourek fell behind, 0-2, before singling on a 1-2 pitch that drove in two runs for the walkoff victory.

The Cats, now 15-11 (3-5) will play for the sweep tomorrow at noon.

For the second straight game, the Bearcats fought back from a 7-5 deficit to take down UCF, this time 10-7. UC's sweep of the Knights moved them back to 4-5 in B12 play, tied with Baylor, BYU & TX Tech for 7th place. The Bearcats traveled up to Oxford yesterday to take on the SkinHawks. The Cats' bats were silent for most of the game, and they went to the 7th down 2-0. UC loaded the bases. Then Kerrington Cross unloaded them with a grand slam. The Bearcats added two more runs in the inning to take a 6-2 lead.

Miami battled back and cut the lead to 6-4, which held until they batted again in the bottom of the 9th. Brandon Scheurer, who had shut off further damage in the 8th, stayed on the mound to try to close it out. He walked the leadoff hitter on four pitches. After getting two outs, Scheurer again lost control, throwing eight straight pitches out of the zone to load the bases. Jordan Bischel pulled Christian Mitchelle from 3B to try to get the final out. Mitchelle induced a 4-6 FC to secure the victory.

UC now stand at 17-11 (4-5) and head to Lubbock for a three-game series starting Friday evening.

The Bearcats, trailing TX Tech, 7-5, in the 9th, rallied to tie and send the game in Lubbock to extra innings. The Red Raiders threatened in the 11th, but Brandon Scheurer wriggled out of it. That set the stage for Jack Natili, who singled in a run, which Scheurer was able to hang onto. Final: UC 8-7.

That's five straight victories, raising the Cats' record to 18-11 (5-5). They play again at noon Saturday.

The Cats are on a roll. They took down the Red Raiders in the 1st game today, 8-1. Kellen O'Connor went the distance, yielding just 6 hits.

The nightcap is scheduled for 4:00 ET.

The 2nd game started out poorly, as TTU scored four times in the 1st and eventually took a 7-2 lead. However, the Cats rallied back and took an 8-7 lead in the 7th. Unfortunately, the bullpen collapsed in the 8th, and the Red Raiders came away with a 12-8 home win. UC are now 19-12 (6-6).

UC will have two games at Prasco Park in the Joe Nuxhall Classic, starting Tuesday at 6:00 against Wright State. They'll play again Wednesday versus the winner between Miami and XU. Following that, ASU will come into town for a 3-game series.

                      UC are now 19-13.

Wild ballgame tonight. 3:45 to get it done. The Cats fell behind, 4-0, in the first inning, then 6-2, before the comeback began. In the 7th, UC scored 5 runs to go up, 7-6, then 4 more in the 8th. The top of the 9th was a struggle, with ASU scoring early, but eventually left two on. Final: UC 11-7.

The Cats are now 20-13 (7-6).

The two teams will go back at it at 3:00, after the football showcase.

What a rubber match game today, unbelievable. A lot of lead changes. Bottom of ni ninth, down by a run with 2 outs and bases empty against the ASU pitcher that throws at 99 mph. With the count at 2 balls and no strikes he hits the next pitch for a home run, the first of his career. They end up winning i n bottom of 10th, WOW
