The final play came with one out in the bottom of the 10th, with Bearcats at 1st & 3rd. Right in line with Bischel Ball, they executed a perfect squeeze to walk it off.

perfect squeeze might have been a little off center, to make it a little harder for it to be fielded, instead of straight back to the pitcher, but it did work

The Bearcats held a 5-2 lead against Norwood Tech at home tonight, but couldn't hold it. The Eggmen got a 2-run HR in the 9th to go up 7-5. UC tried to rally, with Brandon Vitourek homering to lead off. However, they left a runner at 2nd. Final: 7-6.

Next up, a trip to Morgantown, starting Thursday.

After dropping a 3-2 decision Thursday night in Morgantown, the Bearcats fell behind, 6-1, then tried to rally, but fell short, 6-4. The two teams will finish off the series tomorrow.

The Cats are now 21-17, while the ranked Mountaineers continue to win, getting to 36-4.

Tough weekend in Morgantown. The Mountaineers jumped up 9-1 on the Bearcats and swept the series with a 10-5 final. WV have won 16 straight games, including 11 in the B12. The Cats are 21-18.

UC have two games this week before Okie State come in for the weekend. On Tuesday, they'll play at XU, followed by a home game with Milwaukee.

The Cats need to regroup after the Eggmen sent them packing, 16-5, on Tuesday. That's five straight losses, dropping UC to 21-19 and in need of a big weekend with the Cowboys at home.

TOO FUNNY Watching the UC vs OSU game. ESPN, i assume, was interviewing a UC pitcher and in the background is a teammate. He was wearing about 6 baseball caps, sideways, rotating from left to right He is constantly sticking out his large tongue, trying to catch popcorn that a teammate off camera is throwing. Occasionally, you will some popcorn bouncing off of the pitcher getting interviewed. The announcer even made a comment. By the way, they won the play over game today and are winning the second game in the 4th.

Glad the post interview shenanigans are back. Some of the circa 2010 old ones are classics.

The Cats swept the suspended DH, taking the nightcap over the Cowboys, 11-4. The finale will be tomorrow at 1:00 at home.

The Sunday finale with Okie State did not end well. The Cats essentially were never in it and fell, 8-1, to the Cowboys. UC collected just three hits.
