What do you with Johnny Dawkins at UCF?

On the one hand, UCF last made the NCAA Tournament in 2019 (only appearance in eight seasons) and never finished above 6th place in the AAC in the four seasons since 2019. On the other hand, he just went from an 8-10 AAC record last year to a respectable 7-11 Big 12 record with some big wins (Kansas, at Texas, Oklahoma, Texas Tech, at TCU).

I am not sure they are trending in the right direction, per se, but is there someone out there who could take them to the next level?

Their fans were rooting for losses toward the end of the year so they could justify a change. My gut tells me the admin gives him another year based on those big wins you mentioned.

This is interesting -- it has long been understood that Bobby Hurley is unlikely to return to Arizona State next season. Last year, they announced a raise and contract extension through 2025-26 but they never signed an enforceable contract (but he has still received the salary increase).
