I see the Midwest being a good fit for Cronin because LA was just not his style. However, some of his antics this year not to mention his record does not lead me to believe that UM fans would be clamoring for him.

Looks like Jake Diebler is likely the guy in Columbus. Jeff Goodman says OSU targeting him for permanent head coach.

Has Mick Cronin coached his final game at UCLA?

Josh Schertz of Indiana State may be the guy at Saint Louis

Worth noting ISU is a potential third round NIT opponent of UC

Duquesne head coach Keith Dambrot (aka LeBron's HS coach) will retire after this season. The Dukes won the A-10 and are dancing.

tOSU gave the new HC 2.5 million - second lowest in the Big, but good for one who has coached 8 games. I heard that their collective is going to go very strong and the money e for the players. The example - if you have 10 million - 2 for the coach and 8 for the layers. It will be hard for the Cats to get first choice in Ohio. They said the 10 million was light though.

UC asst. Josh Loeffler is rumored to be in the running for the HC job at Loyola Maryland. The DMV area is his stomping ground so he'd be going home more or less.

As such, Hurley could leave on his own after the season and not owe a buy out. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...n/72954558007/
Apparently Bobby Hurley just signed a 2-year extension at Arizona State.

I did not see that coming.

After a solid 20-11 (11-7) in the season halted by COVID, Arizona State has gone: 11-14, 14-17, 23-13 last year (won in Dayton, lost in NCAA round of 64), 14-18 this year.

A program UC should fare okay against when ASU joins the Big 12.

Scott Drew staying at Baylor -- not going to Louisville or elsewhere (per Jeff Goodman)

The curious case of Dan Monson at Long Beach St. Fired at the end if the regular season but he gets to finish the season and they make the dance. Coaching for free going forward

Here's a bit of a headscratcher ... ACC-bound SMU just fired Rob Lanier after two seasons. Following a rough year one, SMU had 20 wins and was a top 60-75 team this year.

I hope the SMU AD at least let Lanier get out of Terre Haute before letting him know.
