Man I'm ready! Assuming we're invited, this would be AWESOME if they announced the expansion before the season started to get the distraction out the way, and to also give the football staff plenty of time before the February signing date to sell it to potential recruits !
(Don't know that it would help basketball recruiting very much ahead of this fall's early signing period, but it should definitely help with the spring recruiting period).
The odds for UC are great. If UC was on the bubble, you'd hear stuff about UC being leaked like crazy. Why? The schools that want UC would be pushing its candidacy, etc.
The fact that no one is mentioning UC can probably be interpreted to mean that UC is pretty universally supported.
Ecu's athletic website is releasing some goofy tweets. I would tend to agree. Ono/Bohn were criticized for their lobbying/visits et. al months ago by a lot of these schools, but in hindsight i believe i hurt it helped our prospects. Better to have put your case out there rather than rush it at the last minute.
^Coach: I think the early proactive approach may have helped because UC is about the only silent school right now. Where all the other schools are trying to pimp themselves out, UC is staying out of the fray.
President Davenport has tweeted a few statistics about UC and the city but mostly we've been very quiet. Meanwhile ECU is like a guy running through the airport holding his boarding over his head yelling "hold the plane".

Is there anything to the ISU AD statement or is that him not reading his email while on vacation?
If ISU wants GOR extended, then this could fall apart.
Red and Black are more of an Attitude than merely a color combination.
An interesting thing to note is that the Memphis news paper has been running a series on the different selection criteria. They have been covering one per day. I believe that they do it to make U of M's case but they also list how the other top candidates rate. In a way, they show that U of M probably should not be selected. They do make several good selling points for Memphis but then they go right ahead and show the other candidates are better.
The Bearcats have never been much to worry about bouncing around from one low-rent football conference to another. But if the Big 12 brings them aboard, Urban Meyer will have an in-state fight on his hands.
