An idea I like for scheduling would be 4 "pods" playing a 9 game season. A teams pod would play yearly as rivals. The team would then play 4 teams from another pod for a 2 year home-away series. After that 2 year cycle, change the pod which guarantees a team plays every team twice every 6 years. The two remaining games would be against a team in each of the remaining pods. This allows a team to play a team from each pod yearly. That is assuming the NCAA does not force the conference into divisions. If so, ignore me. You never saw this.

Arizona football is slowly but surely on an upward trajectory under HC Jedd Fisch (worked for Rams and Patriots)...recruiting massively improving under Fisch.Comment

That is great. Somebody is either a really fast web designer or had some time on their hands ahead of time.Brent Wyrick

This is actually very sad (yes it is funny). I just keep thinking how college sports is being destroyed.Comment

Here is a summary of the winners and losers. Conference realignment winners, losers: Oregon comes up short in Big Ten move, Arizona fits in Big 12 (msn.com)Comment

What might happen with the PAC 4. Could Mountain West and Pac-12 merge into a single, 16-team conference? (msn.com)Comment

If you’re able to, read this entire thread from Jordan Acker on expansion and the NCAA. Acker is a UMich regent and nails this one.

Finally, someone wrote it. It is consolidation not realignment. When will the TV money people no longer want to pay for the likes of Indiana, etc. Column: It's not conference realignment. It's consolidation and no one is safe in the dash for cash (yahoo.com)Comment

Some new updates are starting to flow in... Cal/Stanford are most likely to end up in the ACC... the travel is going to be a nightmare but it gets the late night spots ESPN craves. WSU/OSU are screwed and likely end up in the MWC unless ESPN tells the Big12 to take them too. PAC4 met with MWC this morning but Stanford/Cal not onboard with that merger and most likely headed to ACC which is craziness.
SEC is also telling ESPN they would go-to a 9game conference schedule if they add 2more teams (to keep up with the B1G) and most likely FSU/Clemson.Last edited by Chewbacca2099; 08-07-2023, 03:19 PM.Comment
