My two cents are free because they may prove that I owe you a quarter.... I don't thinks there's a chance they go to 14 at this time. UC and UConn have long term staying power as good contributors. Memphis would also be a good addition, Fl St is the prime target in Fla.

Could the Big 12 go to 13? A baker's dozen with UC, UConn, and Memphis? Scheduling could be worked out. Then go after Fl St, Miami, and Clemson later.

I for one hope they do take cincy and uconn if they expand. We're developing a nice bball rivalry and i think with Wv it's a good start to forming a north or east division. Who know, acc implodes, louisville and pitt end up back in the fold and the whole thing makes some sense again. Not........

I don't see them going to 14. There's no consensus on 12 at this point.

Also, Where did this FSU chatter come from? Seems like a bad fit unless they take UCF/USF with them. Then again football does not seem to interested in geographic fits these days.

I can't recall exact source. There were few articles mentioning getting to 12 now puts Big 12 in position to be stable for expansion to 16 when the ACC GOR expires. The author had reasoning B!G would raid VA and NC, making a few ACC members ripe for picking off by Big 12. The article said Fl St would be the prize. In essence the Big 12 should expand to 12 so they survive race to 16 and ACC folds
