this summary doesn’t include 2022, the number 1 offense overall. This is who I’d like to see here. Gino would grow a
    ton too

And remember Tuberville put a beating on Golden and the U a few years ago....

      • Herman took FAU because it’s very easy to re-build a program and win in C-USA. He knew coming to Cincinnati would be a major rebuild, and he did not want to worry about the level of competition the Big 12 will bring versus C- USA teams.

This was simply a financial move on Herman’s part, as after a few years of success at FAU, he will probably be back in the Big 10 or equivalent.

        • You know I don't want a coach who hesitates at an opportunity or is afraid of some hard work. See ya Herman.

          • Prime down to two schools Colorado and UC but report 95% goes to Colorado.

            • It seems to me that Golesh is the brightest star that meets the criteria. Not sure if he really is even a candidate.
Dion makes the biggest splash and there is a very legitimate list of pros and cons attached to his hire.
Trusting Cunningham who has done a good job in hiring so far, so his inside info is much more valuable than our emotions and whims.

Where are you seeing this reported? Given the current football landscape, Colorado may be easier path to CFP once USC and UckLa are gone. However; that is only assuming the Pac10 still exists. If Pac10 loses 2 or more members to Big 12, Colorado will not be one of the ones joining. Also, CU has a Natty, but it was over 30 years ago when they were in the Big 8. Things have changed dramatically in Boulder since then, with the past ten years nearly a football nightmare.

I think you are right on the "major rebuild". That is horrible and that is the reason we are not getting top notch candidates. I thought we were done with the MAC pipeline but evidently we are not.

That is pathetic. Colorado has been a dumpster fire for awhile. At least UC has recent success albeit at a lesser conference even though the Pac 12 is not that scary.

                      • So, is this where we think we are at right now? I feel like I've seen buzz for the UT OC on Twitter but not sure I've seen anything definitive. But appears that this is the core right now, unless I'm missing something. I'm still feeling a Mystery Candidate or Candidates could be in play.

                        Candidates:
                        UC OC Gino Guidugli
                        Kent State HC Sean Lewis
                        Tennessee OC Alex Golesh
                        Mystery Candidate(s)

                        • I read yesterday that the search should be done by Sunday. As others have said, we will not hear anything from UC until it is official.

It really needs to be done by Sunday/Monday with December 5 day when portal officially opens.

As Chad Brendel pointed out on the BCJ podcast -- UC MBB and UCWBB play a doubleheader at home on Sunday, plus the big Bengals/Chiefs game on Sunday at 4:25... so I wouldn't expect a big press conference on Sunday. But maybe it will be like Fickell who took the UW job on Sunday, then presser on Monday (with new UC coach working the phones and meeting with the team in between)

Sunday makes most sense, after top candidates know which bowls their teams will play in.
